Bible Studies
For biblical studies this quarter we have been studying about the New Testament. This quarter is different then the other quarters I had about biblical studies. Instead of just viewing the bible verses, we had to do these inductive bible studies. So for each passage there were questions which we had to fill out. The task I chose is one of the inductive bible studies, revelations 2.

Revelations 2
1. What did you find interesting in this passage?
I found the messages from each church very interesting. Each message that was made for the church may have had similar meanings, but they were so meaningful. For example in the message for the church in Ephesus, it states how they have perservered and endured hardships for His name, and have not grown weary. That is a very interesting statement for me.
2. What did you like about this passage?
Just like what I found interesting in the passage, it is the messages for the churches that I liked. The words stated for each church had great meaning and it was just amazing. Besides the message I set as a example in before, the message to Smyrna was also great. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.
3. What bothers you about this passage? (What don’t you like?)
There isn’t actually anything at all which I dislike in the passage. The messages in the passage are mostly positive, there may have been some words that were difficult to understand but that was probably it. There was nothing else.
4. What does this passage tell us about God?
This passage explains how God wants everyone to learn about Him, that may be why He spreaded the message to the different churches in Asia. Each message had great meaning, it must have helped the churches.
5. What does this passage tell us about man?
The passage tells us that man wasn’t really that pefect, well man will never be perfect. However, during that time, the people really needed the scripture of God, which was why the message was sent to to each of the churches.
6. What does this passage tell us about living to please God?
This passage teaches us that we should apply the messages given to the church in our life. We should live the hardship and endure to honor His name, we should have faith in Him and love Him.

Reflections
For the inductive bible studies, I believe I have done quite good job because I was able to fill out all of the passages. There were a lot of passages that had to be done with these inductive bible study questions, but I was able to finish all of them. Something that I could have done better would to write more because I actually only briefly answered the questions. But I did that because most of the passages were difficult to understand until the teacher explained it to us at school. The IB learner profile which I learn is reflective because in order to fill out the questions, we have to reflect the passage to our lives to because there are questions like "What does this passage tell us about man?" So reflection is definitely required in this task.
