For arts or music this quarter we studied a lot of music theory and had lots of listening sessions. But our main assignment was to research on a Indonesian composer and transcribed one of their songs. Below were all the materials that were used in the presentation.

Reflection
For this whole project I believe I have done it with my best effort even though I didn't receive a maximum grade. There were two main parts of this project, first was to research on the composer. The composer I selected was Iwan Fals. For this part, we just had to research on the composer's biography and how his life influenced his music. We also needed to research on the music he wrote and analyzed one of the songs. The second part was to transcribe that song which we also analyzed. This was the most difficult part because I song I chose had a bridge and that was almost impossible to describe. As seen in the criteria, there were two ways for me to improve into getting that maximum grade. The first one was to finish the transcription because I didn't do the bridge part. The second one is to have explained why I have chosen specific dynamics for the transciption. You will understand all that once you download the materials I used.
This whole project can be related to the fundamental concept intercultural awareness because the composer I researched on was a Indonesian composer. Not only that, he was a artist who wrote on the social injustice of Indonesia. Therefore I also learned some culture while research on Iwan Fals. That is how the project is relevant with the fundamental concept.
