- 2 -3 tablespoons flour (separated)
- 1,2 kg chicken
- 1 cup light cream or 1 cup evaporated milk (235mL)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Modification During Cooking Day:
- I didn't use all the mushrooms.
- Used a little more flour because some got spilled.
Future Improvements:
- Put more flour to make the soup creamier.
- Next time cooking the soup, mix the flour with the broth first.

Reflection
For design technology the task was to cook our own original emergency food. The emergency food which I cooked was cream of mushroom soup with chicken. It can be considered as emergency food because I froze it and after a week it was still edible. You can see for yourself, above are pictures of the whole process. There are also some specifications on ingridients and calories above which are quite interesting to the food. For the product I guess I did a good job because as you can see I achieved the highest mark. This is because the food was still edible after a week and it was practical. Therefore there isn't much that I can improve except for maintaining the grade in the future. For the process of cooking this food there is one thing which I can improve. I can be more careful with the ingredients and the equipment, but besides that I could have prepared less at home. Most of the students had their preparation in cooking the food at home to save time. I did that too. I could have just prepared less so I can work more at school because I ended up having extra time.
This assignment can definitely be related to the AOI Health and Social Education because well it is about emergency food which is in the health education category. But it's related because first of all I recognized social issues about emergency food. Like the common emergency's and what food has enough calories for that emergency. Once I found the issues I created the food. During the cooking process I had to apply self management because I had to create a plan and be organized. After I cooked the food I evaluated on myself to reflect if I made any mistakes or not. If I missed a instruction from the recipe. Therefore all this can be related to the AOI.
